DC-link capacitors are used in industrial inverters (for wind turbines, solar power plants, power inverters). DC-link capacitors fully replace previously used electrolytic capacitors.
Other information:
DC-link capacitors are characterized by high-value current-carrying capacity. It is determined by a low value of the equivalent series resistance (ESR). DC-link capacitors are available in an aluminium case covered with sealant.
